EXTRA
CURRICULAR
In 2024, Showcase Training raised £500
through our Tuck Shop. As a team, we decided
to donate this to Sophie's Legacy because of
their amazing work including providing snacks
and food for children and families in hospital.
Here is Sophie’s story:
Sophie’s Legacy is a local charity which was established to honour Sophie Fairall, a 10-year-old
girl from Hampshire who passed away from rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer, in
September 2021. During her illness, Sophie created a bucket list that included advocating for
improvements in pediatric healthcare. Her mother, Charlotte Fairall, founded the charity to
continue Sophie's mission.
The charity actively supports families in hospitals by providing essentials such as food, toiletries,
and transportation assistance. It also campaigns for systemic changes within the NHS and
government to better support children with cancer and their families
Sophie wanted the following things changed and this will be her legacy in memory of a
remarkable young girl who touched so many lives:
