CHRISTMAS STAY CYBER SAFE
The Christmas season is a busy time for online
shopping. Many of us turn to the internet to find the best
deals and gifts for friends and family. But while you’re
looking for bargains, scammers are looking for you.
Online scams, fake websites, phishing emails and dodgy
adverts often increase in the run-up to Christmas. Fraudsters
know that people are in a rush looking for last-minute deals,
and might not notice the warning signs. A moment’s

details or even having your identity stolen.
If you think you’ve fallen for a scam, don’t panic but do act
quickly. Contact your bank immediately and report the scam
to Action Fraud (www.actionfraud.police.uk).
