WELCOME
A big welcome to the latest edition of the
Showcase magazine. Little did we know that
since our last edition, we were about to
experience one of the warmest and driest
summers on record. Hosepipe bans, heatwaves
and hot nights….the story of summer 2026. As
we move towards autumn, I look forward to
some cooler temperatures and rain for our
gardens and reservoirs. How have you been
affected by the continuous heat? What
changes have you had to make at work to keep
yourselves, colleagues and the children cool?
In this edition we have lots of great articles that
will help you during your Apprenticeship. Are
you at the beginning of your journey and you’re
