FEATURING GEORGIA AND CARLA
Meet Georgia
Hi, I’m Georgia, one of the tutors here at Showcase Training! My journey into early
years started at sixth form, where I completed my Level 3 alongside a placement in
a local primary school. I quickly realised how much I loved being around children,
watching them learn and develop, and knew childcare was something I wanted to
build a career in. I started as an Early Years Educator, progressed to Room Senior,
and completed my Level 5 apprenticeship, developing my own knowledge and
exploring different leadership approaches. I then completed my CAVA with
Showcase Training, which is when I started thinking maybe tutoring is something I
could really see myself doing! I joined Showcase in January 2026 and have loved
every minute so far. What I love most about being a tutor is helping learners make
sense of new ideas, sharing experiences from my own time in early years, and
seeing them take that knowledge back into their own settings. I’m really excited to
continue my journey with Showcase and support even more learners as they grow,
develop, and find their own confidence and passion within early years.
Meet Carla
I have worked in Early Years for over 22 years and began my career after
completing my BTEC National Diploma Level 3 in Early Years Education at
college. I started as a nursery practitioner and continued my learning by
studying for my level 4 qualification. Over the years I worked my way up into
management roles, eventually becoming a Nursery Manager. Watching my
three children grow led me to move into managing a term-time committee run
pre-school. After many rewarding years in leadership, I discovered a real passion
for supporting and developing staff through training and mentoring. I had
worked with apprentices and supported them through their courses which
inspired me to take the next step in my career, becoming an Early Years Tutor. I
joined Showcase Training in June 2026 and have thoroughly enjoyed supporting
my learners as they develop their knowledge. It is incredibly rewarding to help
apprentices work towards their goals and be part of such a supportive and
welcoming team.
