WELCOME
Welcome, everyone, to the latest edition of the
Showcase Magazine. Finally, the nights are drawing
out again and it won’t be long until the clocks go
forward. I saw some daffodils recently which is always
a sign that spring is on the way. January and February
can often be a challenging time but it is also an
opportunity to look forward. With so many things
happening in 2026, whether that is the Winter
Olympics, Men's Football World Cup, or the USA’s
250th anniversary it is sure to be a packed year.
Closer to home, the world of early years education is
thriving and, at Showcase, we are looking forward to
another fantastic year. With record numbers of
employers and apprentices working with us, there is
so much potential to see learner achievement
continue to increase, which in turn, will lead to more
opportunities for all of you. Have you considered what
you want to do after you finish your qualification?
Promotion, pay rise, higher level courses - there are
so many choices and we will be with you every step of
the way to support your next steps.
In this edition of the magazine there are some great
featured articles particularly around budgeting as you
move into adulthood, updates on the Mandatory
Reporting Duty as part of safeguarding, and a very
interesting piece on mental health - Facts Vs Myths.
I hope you have all managed to stick to your new year
resolutions…or at least some of them? I wish you all a
lovely spring and look forward to writing more in the
next edition when summer will nearly be upon us.
