FEATURING BETHANY AND TRINITY
Meet Bethany (Tutor)
I have over 13 years’ experience within the childcare sector, I started on the Isle
of Wight at 16, completing my level 2 and 3 at college, and secured a full-time
role in a nursery working in the baby room. I LOVED this job but felt I needed to
expand a little more. I went to university to study Early Childhood Studies and
following on from this, I moved to Southampton to become a baby room leader
in a nursery; this quickly became a deputy manager role, supporting the daily
running of the nursery. After being in nurseries for most of my working life, I
decided I’d like a change and applied to work at Showcase as an unqualified
tutor, and would gain my CAVA alongside working. I have been with Showcase
Training now for around 18 months and have loved my time here so far. The
Showcase team is like no other and being able to meet, build positive
relationships with, and support learners to achieve their goal is very rewarding.
Meet Trinity (Tutor)
Hi, my name is Trinity and I’m a Tutor at Showcase Training. I’ve always had a passion for
helping others, but my journey into early years education began a little differently. I
originally studied Social Work at the University of Winchester, where I hoped to make a
positive impact on people’s lives. During my studies, I started working as an agency
nursery practitioner, and that’s where I truly found my passion. Being part of a child’s early
learning and development was incredibly rewarding, and I quickly realised that early years
education was the path I wanted to follow. After deciding to pursue this career, I completed
an apprenticeship in childcare, which gave me valuable hands-on experience and helped
me build a strong understanding of child development and early education. I worked hard
to progress from an apprentice to a qualified practitioner, and eventually to a Deputy
Manager. Each stage of my journey taught me something new; from leading a team and
supporting colleagues, to creating positive, engaging environments where children can
learn, grow, and thrive. Now, in my role as a Tutor at Showcase Training, I have the privilege
of sharing my knowledge and experience with others who are just starting out or looking to
develop within the early years sector. I love supporting my learners, watching their
confidence grow, and helping them to achieve their goals.
